What makes us special
Our dedication to childcare ensures the highest standards
Here at Compton Valley Nursery we aim to provide the highest quality day care for children from 3 months to 5 years.
Our hardworking team of over 15 staff will care for your child in one of three separate play rooms for the children in our care.
These consist of a baby room (Ducklings), toddler room (Squirrels) and a pre-school room (Rabbits). All of our rooms immediate access to the outdoor area and each of our rooms have been designed to create a homely and family atmosphere with carpets and sofas in every room as well as a high standard of play and learning resources. All rooms have their own team of staff who plan for individual learning through a superb range of activities.
We have a dedicated team of staff who are experienced in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and committed to promoting the well-being of each child in our care. We place high priority on training and have a highly qualified staff team which includes a qualified teacher and two early years educators.
We have an extensive covered outdoor play area and adjoining lawn area. Surrounding the nursery is the beautiful countryside, nature trails and farmland. The children go on regular walks throughout the year to the fields and orchards, and see animals in their natural environment.
At Compton Valley Nursery we are committed to providing delicious, nutritious meals and snacks for those in our care. Our food is always fresh and locally sourced, and our meat is sourced from high quality local butchers. We also offer a host of information on healthy eating, including recipes that are used within the nursery.
At Compton Valley we place great emphasis on building close relationships with the parents, carers and families of the children we care for. Whilst we believe that simply spending time talking and listening to you each day is the best way of working together, we also use as many different ways possible to keep you informed about your child’s progress at nursery.
These include an online record system which enables us to give you instant access to all the information we hold about your child’s development; we use our facebook page and messenger to keep you up to date with day to day events at the nursery; we e-mail parents regularly to make sure we share ideas on how to to help your child learn and develop; and we offer an option to arrange skype conversations enabling parents under pressure in the mornings and evenings, to keep in touch with staff at times to suit their needs.
We would be more than happy for you to come and look around to help you decide the best day-care solution to fit around the needs of your family. Please have a look where we are and feel free to contact us, we are always happy to help.
At Compton Valley Nursery and Preschool we offer you and your child the highest possible standard of care and learning in a home from home environment. In our most recent OfSTED inspection we are proud to say we achieved an Outstanding grade in every area of provision.
